Stay and Learn takes the everyday out of the equation. You and your dog stay at our Homestead, off-grid, under a vast night sky, and spend time working with me. There is nothing pulling at either of you. It is amazing what you can learn when the world goes quiet.
Every retreat is shaped around you and your dog, so the shape below is a starting point, not a script. We build the real plan together before you come.
We start slow, with breath and observation. Before we ask anything of your dog, we learn to see what they are already saying, and we settle your own nervous system first.
Hands-on sessions on whatever you came for: manners, reactivity, recall, confidence. Long breaks in nature, because dogs learn in the rest as much as the reps.
Evenings are yours. Sit by the fire, walk the playa with your dog, and watch the Milky Way rise. The lessons settle overnight, in you and in them.
You stay on our working homestead is at the edge of the Alovrd Desert, chosen when you book. Dogs are welcome on leash, and off leash out on the open playa.
